Anti Termite Reticulation Piping system

Anti Termite Reticulation Piping system: Termite facts

Did you know that subterranean termites can build up to 40 feet high mounds (termite colony). That is like a typical four-storeyed building.
Naturally, termites are not a pest and their recycling of wood and other plant matter is of considerable ecological importance. It is only when they get into our house and start damaging its structure and wood; we consider them to be a pest.
Termites are sometimes called “white ants”, though they are not closely related to true ants. Two of the major types of termites are Drywood termites and Subterranean termites.
Dry wood termites live in dry, undecided wood like limbs of trees, utility poles, posts, and lumber. Dry wood termites do not require a lot of moisture which makes them live in dry places. They do not require constant contact with the soil for their survival like its Sub-terranean Cousin.
In a tropical country like India Sub-terranean termites are of more significance as they cause extensive damage. Subterranean termites are social insects which live in colonies in the ground. They build vertical tunnels that look like mud tubes (known as shelter tubes) above ground level in the search of food. Basically, any sort of wood can tempt Termites. Wood is made up of Cellulosic material which is the favorite food of Sub-terranean termites. Termites can also damage the material of organic origin with the cellulosic base such as paper, cardboard, fabric, furniture, etc. However, Subterranean termites are known for their voracious tendencies and can damage even non-cellulosic substances also in search of the food and shelter.

Termite Management

Because subterranean termites will die if exposed to air for an extended period of time, therefore they need constant moisture source for their survival. The mud tunnels provide protection from the open air and direct sunlight, allowing workers to forage for the food. Subterranean termites can form runways in the form of tunnels through cracks in concrete. Therefore even RCC structures are not exempt from these termites.
We are specialist in two types of Termite Pest Control services: (i.e White ants treatment)
The basic purpose of creating a chemical barrier in the soil, along the building is interrupting the runways of termites that root through the termite colony in the soil. An essential component of any termite management programme is treating the floor by injecting extensively along the periphery of the building. Once a continuous barrier is created, they cannot safely return to their central colony nest through the chemically treated soil. It is an established fact that Termites are compelled to return every few days to their central colony nest in the ground to obtain moisture essential for their survival and to feed and groom the nymphs (young termites), the king, queen and other members of the colony.
Thus the successful installation of a chemical barrier into the soil requires a lot of expertise and specialized equipment to form a complete and continuous barrier to protect the premises from a termite entry and future infestation.
If you detect a termite shelter tube or any other form of Termite infestation it is better to go for a solution by a professional pest control company than to handle it on your own.

TERMITE EXTERMINATION

WHAT IS RETICULATION SYSTEM?

1. The reticulation system allows for the reinstatement of a chemical barrier around the foundations of the home utilizing a network of underground pipes. Using precise control of the chemical application, this system helps to protect against invasion by termites which would otherwise enter from the outside of your home.
2. Termite Treatment through piping method also known as Pipe Reticulation system is a revolutionary system designed to effectively treat the area under concrete slabs or before flooring is done. It is system which is replenish able unlike older termite treatment methods. The reticulation system is a network of underground specially designed pipes to induce anti-termite chemical uniformly throughout your Building’s foundations. Regulating the chemical flow, this system helps to protect against invasion by termites in future which would otherwise enter from the outside of your home or from under the floor. We recommend Termite reticulation system for Anti termite treatment because it is extremely durable and gives a very robust protection to a new building and works as a highly effective termite shield for years together. Our Anti termite Reticulation system is being widely used in Indian construction industry including new homes, offices and other commercial buildings.

Regulating the chemical flow, this system helps to protect against invasion by termites in future which would otherwise enter from the outside of your home or from under the floor.
4. It involves lying of special flexible, perforated 15/16/17/18 ( ACCORDING CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT) mm die pipe along the internal periphery of the building and center of the flooring using grid design. This placement of perforated pipes is done along the flooring before laying of the sand bed/sub grade or before fixing the floor marble/tiles. This perforated pipe has emitters fabricated in them which allow uniform distribution of termiticide under the entire flooring pipe. These emitters distribute chemical at a measured rate, and reduces the risk of any area being untreated. This creates a continuous chemical barrier under the floor and impede termites coming up through the soil and entering the structure.

Reticulation Method Piping System (Anti Termite Piping System)

ANTI TERMITE TREATMENT RETICULATION SYSTEM PIPING METHOD

Termite Treatment through piping method/Termite tubing system also known as Pipe Reticulation system is a revolutionary system designed to effectively treat the area under concrete slabs or before flooring is done . It is system which is replenishable unlike older termite treatment methods. The reticulation system is a network of underground specially designed pipes( rubberised membrane) to induce anti-termite chemical uniformly throughout your Building’s foundations.

HOW IT WORK ?

It involves lying of special flexible, continuously perforated 16 mm dia pipe along the internal periphery of the building and centre of the flooring using grid design (every 5 feet). This placement of perforated pipes (made of rubberised membrane) is done along the flooring just before laying of the sand bed/sub grade or before fixing the floor marble/tiles. This perforated pipe has emitters fabricated in them which allow uniform distribution of termiticide under the entire flooring . These emitters distribute chemical at a pre calculated rate, and reduces the risk of any area being untreated. Use of continuously perforated porous pipe ensures no debris , clay or concrete will block the pipe and make it ineffective. The pipe structure pushes the substrate aside and prevents clogging.
periodical recharging of termite chemical. Generally these junction boxes are installed on the outer walls in a concealed manner or match the aesthetics of the building exteriors. Refilling points are installed along the external wall so that the termiticide could be applied from outside the building without causing any disturbance to the occupants.
Termite control chemical emulsions are induced at low pressure through these junction points (refilling points). Low pressure ensures even distribution of termiticide emulsion at all delivery points and finally to entire network of porous pipe. Tests have been conducted on our system and it has been proved that over a 30 metre distance there is complete and uniform distribution of termiticide along the entire length of a single line system. No other Anti termite treatment method can match these results. This creates a continuous chemical barrier under the floor and impede termites invasion through soil and deny access to the structure of the building. Balancing of network of reticulate piping system is an important component of any termite Pipe reticulation treatment method.

RECHARGING OF POROUS PIPING SYSTEM

The system must be recharged @ 5 lit. per sq. mtr. of the Horizontal surface area. This must be repeated every 3-4 years to give ongoing protection against termite entry to your home. However regular termite inspections are recommended as an integral part of a Termite Management System. This system has been designed robustly to achieve a minimum Service Life of over 35 years. What more, this entire job of floor networking, installation and testing is done by our trained and experienced team of technicians who have specially been trained for this job and have years of hands on experience in construction industry and are well versed with various aspects of construction stages.

The advantages of termite reticulation treatment are as under

  • No excavation or Drilling the holes in floor to inject termite chemical is required.
  • Tedious work of removing the furniture in the area is not required.
  • No pungent smell of the termite chemical is released in the premise.
  • No exposure of insecticides to occupants of the building.
  •  Installation of piping system is warranted for 20 years with refilling every Third year.
  • Unlike conventional termite injection method there is even distribution of the chemical under the floor.
  • No Stains discolouring or marks on the costly floors.
  • The cost benefit ratio when compared with traditional methods of termite treatment, over longer periods is considerable as recharge costs are significantly lower than a drill and fill method.
  • Construction contractors and builders are not required to make special provisions for the Anti termite Pipe reticulation system during preparation for construction and no construction activity is held up.
Thereafter rough sketch diagram for piping network is prepared to ensure minimal interference with other building procedures. You can obtain the copy of our plan and discuss suitable delivery (refill) points and consult with your Builder/Architect/contractor. Once the plan is approved and estimate approved, we set date for start of installation and end date for procedure. Once the job is complete and system recharged with the chemical, we hand over the site network plan to the customer for his future reference.

  • Post-construction Anti-Termite Treatment

If you detect a termite shelter tube or any other form of Termite infestation it is better to go for a solution by a professional pest control company than to handle it on your own.
Just read our Termite FAQ section for very common questions asked by our clients about termites, infestation and it's treatment.
Damp walls and Roof or plumbing leaks can allow termites to survive above ground in a house. These should be corrected as soon as possible. Subterranean termites are capable of building a temporary nest (Satellite colony) in a ceiling or wall cavity where there is a regular moisture source, say from a leaking shower, broken roof tiles, faulty masonry or plumbing.
In the case of sever termite infestations in wood, it is advisable that the wood which is beyond repair, should be discarded least the healthy wood gets cross infested. It is a fact that termites damage commercial boards (like cupboards, almirah, wardrobes, wooden cabinets, wall wooden panelling etc.) more rapidly as compared to solid wood like chokaths (door and window frames).
Plaster of Paris (POP) on the walls and ceilings is commonly damaged by termites as it is made of cellulose. All cellulosic materials are favorite foods of termites like wood, paper, cardboard, fabric, Plaster of Paris etc. Formation of mud shelter tubes on the POP plastered walls is a common sight in modern houses.
Wood combined with plaster of paris is a lethal combination as it attracts termites due to moisture retention, sometimes it becomes a tough job even for a professional to control termites in POP plastered walls and ceilings , as termites form a non detectable cavity between plaster and walls.
Home owner's fetish for wooden flooring in modern houses is another factor which makes the houses vulnerable to termites infestation. Since the wooden flooring is directly in contact with the floor , therefore they are an easy target of termites. Treating termites in the wooden flooring needs special expertise and equipment. Remember, a combination of right pesticides along with the right application method and skilled workmanship yields long term control.
Treatment and Cost
Treatment cost for sub-terranean termites can be decided only after physically inspecting the premise as termite treatment cost is based on method of treatment, severity of infestation, structural factors, size of the house and the extent of damage. Just call our technical staff to get your premises thoroughly inspected free of cost. We offer our free termite inspection seven days a week and at the client's convenience.
Contract with our professional pest and termite control company to Periodically Inspect your home. This will help detect termite activity and allow for an early and proper action.Unfortunately, many people discover they have termites too late when the damage is already done.Termite treatments are usually costly and additional repairs can be very expensive.
To control the termites in any premises the following two options/methods are available for our Clients. You can choose the cheaper termite treatment or the one which is more expensive. Regardless of the treatment cost, both methods have prove to be the most effective termite treatments.
  • One Year Anti-Termite Maintenance Contract: (Short term Solution)
One-year maintenance contract with regular check-up. One Year Maintenance Contract against termites is a Short term Solution which has specifically designed for customers who are either likely to move to other premises.

  • Three Years Termite -Proofing Contract: (Long term Solution)

ANTI FUNGAL TREATMENTS

ANTI FUNGAL TREATMENTS

  • Are your goods damaged during shipping?
  • Are they attacked by moisture during shipping?
  • Are your drums / cartons damaged from moisture during transit?
We have all the solutions towards your problems.
Ship goods without the threat of "Container Rain" Inhibits the formation of mold, mildew, rust and corrosion.
For many years, thousands of containerized cargoes are damaged by moisture problems. When the containers arrive at the destination, metal is found to be rusty or oxidated, cartons become soft and moldy, beans may be damp, such losses sometimes costs several million dollars.
It is caused by two main reasons:
  • Container Rain
  • Cargo Sweat
Four Areas of container moisture damage:
1. The ceiling and inner walls of the container, the condensation is known as "Container Rain"
2. The surface of cargo, the condensation is known as "Cargo Sweat"
3. The container floor. There are two kinds, iron floor is cold, wooden floor contains moisture inside. They both easily make the pallets moldy.
4. The container doors. The outside wet air easily goes through the crack of the container door and causes high relative humidity.
When containers are loaded and shipped through fluctuating temperatures and relative humidity the possibility of condensation occurring is substantial as temperatures drop.
We apply products which help keep the dew point temperature below the actual temperature, even when the actual temperature drops within the shipping container due to fluctuations. ("Dew Point Temperature" is the temperature at which water vapor begins to condense onto a surface forming liquid water).
The liquid that results inside a container is called "Container Rain". Container rain will occur if the surface temperature of an object is equal or lower than the dew point temperature.
If the relative humidity is lowered with the absorbing properties of some kind of a product, the dew point temperature is also lowered, stopping container rain.
What causes condensation in your container?
  • Containerised cargo can be subjected to significant temperature variations when stored on deck in the sun, whilst in storage awaiting trans shipment, or whilst crossing the equator.
  • As the temperature in the container rises the enclosed air is able to absorb more moisture. There are many sources of moisture in a container - the wooden floor and pallets, packaging material and possibly the cargo itself.
  • Conversely, when there is a drop in temperature the air is not able to hold this extra moisture, which is then released in the form of condensation. The temperature at which this condensation takes place is called the DEW POINT.
  • Then as the temperature drops, i.e. during the night, during atmospheric changes, or when the ship moves into a colder climate, the moisture is released and condenses on the container's roof and sides.
  • The water that drips from the roof of the container, together with the condensation that forms on the product causes corrosion, mould, caking of powders, and damage to labels and packaging.
  • This process of warming and cooling repeats itself numerous times during a voyage, causing the damaging moisture cycle to repeat itself.
Control Measures
  • Our products are manufactured under controlled conditions in order to assure you of an absolutely dry desiccant upon delivery.
  • After your container has been packed, we apply the desiccant which will immediately start to absorb any moisture present inside the container.
  • On the container doors being closed, Dessicant controls the humidity inside the container by continuously absorbing the moisture from the enclosed air inside the container. Dessicant is designed to hold the moisture and not release it back into the container's climate.
  • As the humidity inside the container is kept continuously low, the air is dry enough to prevent condensation forming at low temperatures.Dessicants will continue to absorb the moisture until it has gained approximately 150% of its own weight.
It has the ability to protect shipments from start to finish, through all temperature ranges and relative humidity variances.
Completely safe, non-toxic materials. Container Sac Desiccants can be disposed with regular waste as they are very reasonably priced.
